Randy S. Steed, Founder and Co-Owner of Steed Construction, Inc., serves as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.

A 45 year veteran of the construction industry, Randy started his career in New England where he worked for Health Industries, a division of US Industries, advancing through their ranks to become their Director of Construction and Engineering where he oversaw the design, construction, remodeling, and maintenance of their 144 facilities located in 26 states. After years of traveling and having three small children at home, Randy wanted a change and was recruited by a General Contractor in Silicon Valley. Starting as a project manager, he was promoted to Vice President where he worked for 11 years during the high tech boom of the 80's before starting Steed Construction, Inc. in 1988.

Randy has personally managed projects for IBM, GTE, H&W Computer, Drivetec, Atari, Apple Computer, ITT Tech, TRW, Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, Syntex, GE, Adaptec, Aerospace Corp., Vantronic, Personics, Deskin Research, Robbins Scientific, Zero Defects, Okidataq, Pridential, Maxim Technology, and many others.

Randy enjoys donating his time where needed and served for over 12 years in various leadership positions with the AGC (Associated General Contractors);  he graduated from their Advancement Management Training Program before serving as the Idaho Chapter's President in 2007. He has also served on the Advisory Board for the Boise State Universities Construction Management Program, and as a board member of the Idaho Chapter of the March of Dimes. Currently Randy is serving as the Vice President of Properties for the ORE-IDA Council of Boy Scouts of America and as a governor appointed member of the Permanent Building Fund Advisory Council (PBFAC) for the State of Idaho.

Randy and wife Wendy have been married for 44 years; have five children, and 19 grandchildren.

Scott J. Raymes, Executive Vice President and Co-Owner, joined Steed Construction in 1993 and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Idaho Office.

Prior to joining Steed Construction, Scott was Vice President of another Idaho based general contractor and was a superintendent with three other large construction firms in Northern California where he met and worked together with Randy Steed before moving his family to Idaho in 1984.

A veteran with more than thirty years of experience in the construction industry, Scott started as a union carpenter where he completed his apprenticeship while attending San Jose State University.

Scott's career included positions as foreman, superintendent, general superintendent and Vice President before joining Steed Construction.He has supervised projects for Lockheed Missiles and Space Co., IBM, Costco, Home Base, GTE, California Micro Devices, Syntex, Varian, Memorex, Apple Computer, Boise Research Center, Hewlett Packard, Bank of America, Albertson's, the LDS Church, Hayden Beverage, Buck Knives, EDS, MCI/Worldcom, NEC, IN-SYSTEMS, Western Power Sports and many others.

Scott has always had a passion for the Motor Cycles and actively participates in Motocross racing. Scott and his wife Pat have been married for 36 years and have three sons and two grandchildren.

Kevin Raymes, Leed AP BD-C, and Business Development for our Idaho operations. Kevin Raymes has worked at Steed Construction Inc. since 2010 managing a variety of commercial construction projects.

His organization and attention to detail helps all project team members work collectively towards successful completion of projects, maintain project schedules and staying within budget.  He is tenacious towards delivering superior customer service. He charismatically builds a productive project environment with design professionals, vendors, owners, and City officials to aid in the progression of project goals, while following up with all team members to keep focus on the project running smoothly.  He consistently provides updates to owners on project statuses and provides potential solutions to any outstanding issues.

Kevin is LEED® AP BD+C accredited which includes advanced knowledge in green building practices and specialization in commercial design and construction.He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Economics from Boise State University in Boise, ID.  He graduated high school in Eagle, ID and has been a lifelong resident of Idaho. His previous work in sales, marketing and account management with Home Federal Bank and Western Power Sports has offered client relationship management, project management and accountability for Steed Construction.

  • Vice President Utah

As Vice President Utah, Scott's primary responsibilities are to Manage all aspects of the company's operations run out of their Utah office.

Scott started with Steed Construction while obtaining his education from Utah State and Boise State Universities and has over 20 Years experience working in the construction Industry. While attending school, Scott held several roles within Steed Construction including; laborer, project engineer, and superintendent. Later he advanced to the position of project manager and account manager before leaving the company to work in the development arena. Scott returned to Steed Construction in 2012 as the Vice President over the recently created Utah office.

Over his career Scott has been involved with numerous types of  projects ranging from office buildings and Schools to retail, hotels and resort condominiums. He is a founding family member of the Rolling Hills Charter School committee and served as a committee member for site selection and construction. Scott also served on the City of Boise Climate control advisory board. Before starting his career, Scott served a full-time mission for the LDS church in Samoa. While attending school, Scott met and marryied his wife Allyson, who is from Salt Lake City, UT.

Scott and Allyson live in Holladay, Utah and have seven beautiful children.

  • Chris Steed, LEED
  • Compliance Officer & Project Manager

Chris began his construction career working as a laborer, sweeping  floors while attending school at West Valley College in California  and then at Boise State University in Idaho after moving with his family to Idaho in 1994.  After school and a mission with the LDS church in Columbus, Ohio. Chris worked for three years as an estimator while learning the Project Management side of the construction business. For over 10 years Chris has been managing projects ranging from tenant improvements and remodels to warehouse/distribution facilities and manufacturing plants. In addition to being a seasoned Project Manager, Chris also serves as the company’s Compliance Officer and has received in-depth safety training from nationally recognized training courses and the AGC. Chris is well known for his reliability and follow-through and can always be counted on to get the project completed as planned. Besides his responsibilities as Steed Construction, Chris has been a volunteer Police Officer and is a member of the Field of Honor committee in the City of Eagle. Chris and his wife Sarah live in Eagle and have four daughters.
